Annual Appeal

Dear Neighbor:

We thank you for the support you’ve provided to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. We’re especially counting on your support this year.  It’s the individual donor who keeps the PNC going.

The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center’s mission of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” essentially does two very important things. 

• We prevent homelessness by providing basic needs assistance such as: monthly emergency food (out of which nearly 100,000 meals were distributed last year); emergency fuel assistance; daily living supplies; food for children over the weekend;  infant essentials of all types; a Job Search Club and financial literacy programs.

 

• We also prevent the isolation and loneliness of Seniors with a Senior Transportation Program which we believe is second to none ( providing nearly 8,000 rides last year); congregate meals; Meals on Wheels; wellness programs; a wide variety of exercise classes; creative arts classes; and a friendly visitor program.

 

We now have neighbors, who used to be our donors, finding themselves on the receiving end of social services. We need to be there to help them as they’ve helped us. We can only do this with your help.
